Afghanistan Red Gold Saffron
Company was established in 2002 by the Rahmati brothers in the field of saffron cultivation, production, and export. Through the efforts of the shareholders, the company was able to overcome the challenges facing saffron exports from Afghanistan and establish itself as the largest exporter of Afghan saffron globally.Since 2011, the company has been recognized as the top exporter by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Industry, and the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce (ACCI). Afghanistan Red Gold Saffron Company has also earned international certifications, including HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and FDA USA, by meeting global quality and quantity standards.
The company collects the hard-earned saffron from dedicated Afghan farmers, tests it in its equipped laboratory according to the highest global standards, and exports more than 18,000 kilograms of premium Afghan saffron annually to countries such as:
the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Spain, Indonesia, Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria, Bahrain, Brazil, Bulgaria, Turkey, Tajikistan, China, Sweden, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Oman, France, Canada, Norway, Vietnam, India, and Hong Kong.

Saffron Storage
The value of pure Afghan saffron is comparable to or even greater than gold.
Therefore, we ensure that our products are stored in a completely secure and healthy environment. Saffron is a delicate product requiring specific conditions for storage. The environmental factors are designed to preserve the saffron’s quality throughout the year, ensuring that the product meets all standards when it reaches customers

Laboratory Testing
After purchasing and upon arrival at the company, saffron is tested by equipped laboratories for quality control. Various tests are conducted based on defined standards for grading and other characteristics, including color (crocins), aroma (safranal), and flavor (picrocrocin). Tests are also performed using HPLC equipment to ensure saffron is free from artificial dyes

Processing
Processing is one of the most sensitive stages in handling saffron, requiring a controlled environment in terms of temperature, humidity, and hygiene, and must be carried out by trained personnel. Every step in the production line is meticulously followed with full adherence to hygiene and technical standards to ensure the final product meets the expected quality standards and is ready for packaging once approved by the quality control unit.

Packaging
Processed saffron is placed in packaging specifically designed to preserve freshness and quality. These packages prevent the entry of light, air, and moisture, helping to maintain the organoleptic properties of the saffron. Our packaging range includes various sizes and designs, from small consumer packs to large commercial packages, meeting the diverse needs of global customers. All packaging is done in hygienic environments using environmentally friendly materials, ensuring product safety and demonstrating our commitment to environmental preservation
